INVESTING IN THE FUTURE OF THE GALLERY

The Stanley Spencer Gallery has completed an important project to strengthen the care and management of its nationally significant collection through the introduction of a new collections management system.

Although largely behind the scenes, the new system
will have a lasting impact on how the Gallery cares for its collections. It provides a more robust and efficient way to record information about artworks and objects, helping us to manage conservation, exhibitions, loans and research more effectively.

For visitors, this means better access to accurate and up-to-date information about the collection, helping us to share more of Stanley Spencer’s remarkable story through exhibitions, learning activities and digital resources. By improving the way we manage our collections today, we are helping to ensure they can be enjoyed by future generations.

The project was made possible through an **AIM Museum Fundamentals Grant**, funded by the **Pilgrim Trust** and the **Julia Rausing Trust**.
