The Stanley Spencer Gallery welcomes the Government’s decision to place a temporary export bar on Stanley Spencer’s The Resurrection of the Good and the Bad.

As the museum dedicated to Spencer’s life and work, and located in the village where he lived and worked for much of his life, the Gallery is very interested in the opportunity to secure this important painting for the UK and, ideally, for Cookham.

 

We are exploring ways of making this possible.
